Eliminating Belly Bloat

Jul 26, 2024

Does your stomach bloat up after you’ve eaten? Do you go to bed with a big belly?

A bloated belly is a sure sign of improper digestion. A good way to test this on yourself is to notice how big your belly is when you go to bed at night and if it’s gone down when you wake up in the morning.

If that’s the case, try this:

  1. Avoid wheat (gluten) products. More and more people are discovering they have a gluten intolerance. Intolerance means it can’t be digested properly, which causes bloating and inflammation.
  2. Avoid dairy products. Dairy products are a common cause of bloating, inflammation and compromised digestion. Try avoiding it for one week and you’ll know if that’s your culprit.
  1. Take digestive enzymes before meals. Digestive enzymes can get depleted with age.  Taking digestive enzymes improves your digestion, thereby reducing gas and bloating.
  2. Eat a few bites of sauerkraut just before meals. Eating fermented foods improves gut flora (aka good bacteria) which we need to fight off bad bacteria, which causes bloating and a compromised immune system.

For fast results, try all 4 tips at once. Once the bloating is gone, then reintroduce gluten or dairy for a week and see if the bloating comes back, if not, then try the other.

Cheers to a flat belly.
